Rafting on the Rio Grande

The eight mile rafting adventure begins at Grant’s Level, which is about six miles north of the parish capital Port Antonio. Here, rafters board the two-person bamboo rafts for the two- to three-hour trip downstream to Port Antonio. The rafts are made up of ten or so bamboo logs bound together and they typically run about four feet wide and 25 to 30 feet long. You may contact the Rio Grande Tours at (1876) 913-5434.

Negril Beach in Negril, Westmoreland

The resort town of Negril is by far one of the most popular Spring Break destinations in Jamaica. The town stretches from Bloody Bay to the Lighthouse. Bloody Bay, so named because of the butchering of whales in its waters a century ago, is on the eastern end of the stretch of coastline boasting seven miles of beautiful white sand beach.
